I. The Holy Scriptures
We believe in the Scriptures, by which we understand the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, and to be the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of mankind and the Divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.
VII. Sanctification
We believe that a subsequent to salvation, the believer is called to grow in grace and spiritual maturity. Sanctification of the believer is provided by the blood of Jesus Christ through faith and is wrought by the work of the Holy Spirit empowering the believer to live a life of effective service and perfect love.
IX. Baptism
We believe that Christian baptism, commanded by our Lord is a sacrament signifying acceptance of the benefits of the atonement of Jesus Christ and is to be administered to believers as declaring their faith in Jesus Christ. Water baptism by immersion is preferred as a symbol of the death to sin and resurrection to life; however due to physical circumstances or the preference of the applicant, baptism may be administered by sprinkling or pouring. Since baptism is symbolic of the work of the Holy Spirit in a person's heart and not a prerequisite for entrance into heaven, it is not deemed a prerequisite for church membership.
X. The Lord’s Supper
We believe that the memorial and communion supper instituted by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is essentially a New Testament sacrament, declaring His sacrificial death and His imminent return in power and glory. It is distinctively for those who have faith in Christ, and only those who are part of the Body of Christ are called to participate therein.
XI. Second Coming of Christ
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will come again, that we who are alive at his coming shall not precede them that are asleep in Christ Jesus; but that, if we are abiding in him we shall be caught up with the risen saints to meet the Lord in the air so that we shall ever be with the Lord
XII. Resurrection and Judgment.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, both the just and the unjust to face judgment before God, and that all persons will face a conscious eternity; the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy in the presence of the Lord, and the unbeliever to everlasting suffering in Hell.
